am Melissa Marrufo, and I am a second grade teacher in Texas. I have taught
preschool, third grade, and second grade. This is actually my first year of
teaching second grade. It has already inspired me in so many ways, hints my new
blog! I hope to be able to share many ideas and learn from other teachers as

I am one of three girls! My sister, Kristen, on the right is a kindergarten teacher! And the neatest thing, we have a red head, brown, and blonde!! Love them!! Also, I have the most beautiful niece, Mackenzie, who looks just like her little momma, Kristen!
I earned my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction this past May. I love my sweet parents!
